Sally is a creative and driven senior video editor based in Naarm/Melbourne, she works closely with progressive clients, creating visually engaging, narrative-driven content with a consience.
Sally’s background is in documentary storytelling with many years working as an assistant and assembly editor on long-form factual TV series (BBC4, Channel 4, ABC, SBS and NITV).
After studying film in Melbourne, she began her career in London as an edit assistant and within a few short years had become head of post production at Hey Buddy TV. Returning to her hometown in 2012 she was simultaneously honing her craft with short form work, whilst also deepening her technical and storytelling knowledge assisting some of Australia’s best factual editors.
All Sally’s work is underpinned by this strong foundation in long-form documentary storytelling and she has gained a reputation for creating effective campaigns, arresting branded content and award-winning short films.
Clients include Country Needs People, Big hART, Climate Council, Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action, Sherpa/Hardie Grant, Said & Done Media and Enthral.
Some favourite long-form documentary projects include: Keeping Country Strong for Country Needs People, Blackfella Film's award winning Filthy, Rich and Homeless for SBS, Brown Cabs' Warburdar Bununu: Watershield for NITV, and Channel 4 UK’s Nelson Mandela Superstar.
Her short films have appeared in Beyond Borders International Film Festival, Flickerfest, St Kilda Film Festival, and Cannes Short Film Corner.
